Negative taken of group portrait of priests and congregation during a Golden Jubilee Celebration on the steps of Saint Peter's Church in Pine Bluff, Jefferson County, Arkansas. This is probably a Golden Jubilee Celebration for one of the priests celebrating 50 years with the order. Constructed in 1903 as the second church with this name, St. Peter's Church was designed by T.E. Windham, an African American architect. Located at the corner of 16th Avenue and State Street in Pine Bluff, St. Peter's Church's congregation was primarily African American. The church was associated with St. Peter's School, which opened in 1889 as the Colored Industrial Institute.
